Carrie Underwood was among several dozen of Nashville’s most talented musicians and songwriters gathered at Loews Vanderbilt on Tuesday night (January 22) to celebrate their Grammy nominations.
The annual party brings together everyone with ties to Nashville who has chance to win an award at the 55th annual Grammy Awards in February.
For her part, multi Grammy-winning Carrie says getting a nominations is something that never gets old.
“It really is an honor because the Grammy’s are such a well respected institute and when people say Grammy nominated artist, or Grammy winning artist it really carries some weight,” she said.
Nashville has ties to 23 of the 81 Grammy categories.
“It’s about time,” said Carrie. “It was really great that they had the whole nominations concert in Nashville. It feels great that we get recognition, because I feel like there’s so much talent here.”
The 55th annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday, February 10.
