The Minnesota Twins are also splitting from the Kardashians. Kinda.

The team announced today (February 7) it will auction off a baseball autographed by reality starlet Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kris Humphries. They signed the ball before a Twins game last July, when the Minnesota native and NBA player Kris threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

After a highly publicized wedding last August, the celebrity couple’s marriage ended 72 days later when Kardashian filed for divorce. Kris played basketball at Hopkins High School and the University of Minnesota before turning pro. He’s currently with the New Jersey Nets.

The auction proceeds will go to the team’s charity arm, the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Online bidding ends on Valentine’s Day.

Meanwhile, Kris told Access Hollywood‘s Jill Martin over the weekend that his marriage with Kim was not staged. “To me it was real,” he said. “I would never go through something or do something that wasn’t real or I didn’t believe in, so I can really only speak for myself in terms of that. … I would never do anything strictly for money.”

But he doesn’t sound ready to dive back into the dating pool anytime soon. Basketball is his true love right now. “What do they say? ‘My girlfriend is Spalding.’”
